The Poodle Dog Knocker ™ was designed by Michael Healy, an accomplished Rhode Island artisan known for his Unique Door Knockers. Michael has always enjoyed the company of dogs, and holds the utmost respect for the Poodle. He is impressed by the loyal and dignified nature of the breed, and is frequently surprised by how well trained and friendly they are. When designing the Poodle Dog Knocker, Michael hoped to capture the dog’s qualities of elegance and refinement, casting them in solid bronze as a complement to your home.The Poodle Dog Knocker ™ was handcrafted using the age-old art of foundry casting. During this process, molten bronze is heated to over 2200ºF and then carefully poured into a handmade sand mold. This mold is used only once, giving your Dog Knocker ™ its individual character. Your Poodle Dog Knocker ™ was treated with a dark patina, then hand polished and coated with a clear lacquer to protect its original finish. In order to confirm authenticity and quality craftsmanship, your Dog Knocker ™ carries the signature of artist Michael Healy.(MHDOG08)
