The German Shepherd Dog Knocker was designed by Michael Healy, an accomplished Rhode Island artisan known for his Unique Door Knockers. Michael has always respected German Shepherds, in particular, for their majestic poise and noble demeanor. A naturally handsome dog, the German Shepherd’s full pointed ears are indicative of its loyal attentiveness. Michael chose to recognize this remarkable animal for its notable participation in police work and as a guide dog for the blind. Though sometimes startling, like a knock on the door, the German Shepherd’s bark is really just announcing the arrival of a friend.(MHDOG05)
