It starts with a sketch which is then sculptured into a three dimensional model.
An impression of the model is made in fine sand into which 2300° metal is poured. Each model can be used only once making each piece truly unique.
After the metal cools, the sand is broken away and the raw casting emerges. Through multiple phases of grinding and polishing, accents and highlights are added to each piece.
Each door knocker receives a baked polyurethane finish similar to the clear coat finish on your car to provide years of protection. Michael's signature confirms its authenticity and quality craftsmanship.
